China’s tech giant Xiaomi has entered the UK market with budget-friendly smartphones and gadgets and they are planning to get 10 percent of UK’s market. Xiaomi is considered as a “young” tech company as it is only 8 years old, but they have already secured their place as the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world.
Xiaomi launched their products in the UK in early November with the unveiling of some products including the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro and the Mi Band 3. These are some of their latest products available in Asia and other areas where Xiaomi has already made their way.
In this new venture, Xiaomi aims to ship 10 million smartphones to the UK market by the end of 2019. Aside from mobile devices and smart watches, Xiaomi also introduced other smart home products like scales, lamps, and even electric scooters. This move by Xiaomi is part of their plans to expand in the European market. Xiaomi has entered more than 74 markets globally and boasts of almost 50% annual growth. One of its currently highlighted products is the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro.
